PROCEDURE FOR MANUFACTURING & PRODUCT INDENTIFICATION , TRACEBILITY.

  • 1. Check the purchase order i.e. whether technically ok or not.
  • 2. Manufacturing Codes as per Client Requirement / Approved QAP.
  • 3. Take the Approval of QAP regarding the stage wise or final inspection.
  • 4. Locate the material as per the requirement .
  • 5. Verification of purchased material as per Purchase Order and Spec.
  • 6. Co-Relation of Heat No of Material with the Mill Test Certificate.
  • 7. Co-Relation of MTC as per Spec.
  • 8. For all accepted materials Visual and dimensional checks are carried out.
  • 9. Forward the raw material (i.e. tube, round bar, hex bar) material to the Production dept. with Work order
  • 10. Visit the workshop during or before tube , round bar, hex bar cutting
  • 11. Verify the Marking on Raw material (tube , bar , hex ) are done as per cutting length (Ref Doc/ Drg.) & make sure the individual pieces bears the Allotted Lot No or heat no by the sub vendor.
  • 12. Give permission to cut the raw material
  • 13. The tubes for other fittings& round bar & forged fittings are Cold and Hot Formed as per requirement of the reference Standards / Manufacturing Process.
  • 14. Start the forging / forming / hammering
  • 15. Visit to the workshop during forging

  • 16. After forging check the identification & punching on all the Forged Fittings if available , otherwise repunch it
  • 17. After stage inspection, proceed for cutting as per layout
  • 18. Facing, Machining are carried out as per Client’s required standards.
  • 19. NDT are carried out like DPT / UT as per required Spec / Approved QAP and Relevant records is maintained.
  • 20. Heat treatments are carried out as per Spec. and reference code. Check testing is to be done as per respective specification.
  • 21. Pickling and passivation are carried out as per reference procedure.
  • 22. Do the final inspection.
  • 23. Verify the Final marking done by Electro /Etching process that bears the following details (Mfg’s Monogram / Spec / Dimn / Size / pressure / HT-Lot No) and any other details.
  • 24. All relevant documents are prepared (Mfg’s Test Cert, Dimension Report, Inspection Report, NDT Report, Etc…..)
  • 25. After the records of clause O & Q are completed fittings are offered to Client or its Third Party Inspection agency for Inspection.
  • 26. After Inspection, acceptance and final stamping on items are done by inspection agency.
  • 27. On receipt of internal shipping clearance, pack the items with proper packing as per spec. with packing lists to avoid any
